Carolina Whole Hog at aPorkalypse

Question: Who doesn’t love the smell of smoke which is produced when the fat of the meat hits those hot coals and sizzles up, creating this plume of wonderous savory smoke…yum!  I do. Can you smell it?  Well I was fortunate to be part of this wonderful event and had my full smoke from the pit as well as a couple of cigars to past the time.  I was there helping my buddy Tyson from Arrogantswine.com.  Warning some of the following pictures are graphic, sorry in advance, but hey what would you expect from aPorkalypse.

So to round it out,

3-hundred pound hogs, 100 pounds of coal, 9 hours later a happy crowd.  The best beer of the event, my opinion was the Coney Island Human Block Head IPA Bock (good combination of flavor and punch).  Best cigar of the day, Oliva Nub Maduro (awesome smoke). Best food booth of the night, duh ours, Arrogantswine. Special thanks to all the Arrogantswine crew for making this event successful.

Time to go put in the reps.  As always workout, drink be merry.
